We would like to share a video to express our sincere bittersweet sorrow in regards to the Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeover.
Sueño injured her upper Suspensory just days before we were scheduled to leave for the Supreme. It was heart breaking, of course, but yet another example of how Mustangs continue to teach us life lessons...in many ways....the Joy really is in the Journey afterall. She is healing well and we have hopes of competing in Project Cowboy 2012 with her. Her Journey is far from over!
Even though we had to leave our precious Sueno home, Mike, Filleigh Kay and Mary still made the trek to TX to support the first Ever Riders4Helmets Safety Incentive as well as pick up their new Wild Mustang for Mustang Magic!

Sueño have begun their journey together on May 13th when Mary and Mike picked
Sueño up from the BLM holding facility in MS as a 5 yr old, Wild and Untouched Mustang.
On Sept 15th, 2011 Mary and
Sueño will compete in Texas, along side 200 other formerly Wild 5 yr old Mustangs for their share of $200,000. Of course the true prize is the bond and relationship that they will build along the way. There is not a price tag that can be put on that!... However there is a price-tag put on the feed/hay/vet etc. that it takes to keep these wonderful Equine partners in tip top shape ... so we shall not lie, it would be awesome to earn a bit of the prize money as well! But the beauty in this competition is we all come away Winners with a new trusting partner! What a Wonderful way to show the world what these older Wild Horses are capable of! We hope you'll follow our journey over the next fews months!

The2011 Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeoveris around the corner! The adoption was on April 16th and we are THRILLED to say that we adopted TWO Mustangs for this years competition! That was not our initial plan, but once we were able to adopt our Top Pick lot # 47 for so little and then witnessed one of our very favorites, lot # 178, "No Sale" and be sent to the "Pool" we could not resist snatching her out of that water as well! So lot # 47 AND lot # 178 are currently headed to MS where we will pick them up May the 13th!
(UPDATE on lot 178... Seeing as Sueno was sound and healthy on pickup...and a good friend and fellow trainer's (Marsha Sapp) Mustang was not...we opted to give Splash/lot 178 to our friend, Marsha Sapp. They are making GREAT progress together and will be an awesome team come Sept!)
We could not be happier with our new girls! lot 47 was my top pick and I was Thrilled when we had no competing bids! She is a very Fancy mare. She appears to have Lots of Iberian influence to me. I do not think I have seen a horse more more "uphill" than her. It's as if she is climbing a cloud with every stride! Check out her video through this link.. lot # 47 Video

We named her "Vivir el Sueño" which means "Live the Dream" in Spanish..we'll call her Sueño for short
