Rox has quite the story... and it seems to build each and every day. Long Story Short, Rox was given to us by a kind hussband and wife team that had raised her from a foal. The reason she was free was that no one could manage to load her onto a horse trailer. She would actually lay down at the base of the trailer and "Sull Up" Refusing to get on. Her breeders only wanted her to have a good home and I was quick to offer just that, I hand walked her home and the rest is history.....Below is a photojournal of some of our experiences together..... more to come.......

Rox and Me on Day One. We were preparing for our 5 mile walk home.

Williamston T & J Barrel Blast Aug. 2008
Since this Rox has ran at the Cabarrus Fair Barrel Race(ran well, but I pulled her on top of the third), NBHA NC 04 race(Won 1D money), IBRA Super Race (Won 3D money)Runners Paradise Finals(Won 2D money) and today we ran a slot race and 4D IBRA race in SC... today is Nov. 8, 2008
above is our "happy face"... Rox was 6th place in the 1D division of the Open 4D...amung Awesome competition (over 100 awesome horses)... As Kathy Grady always told me, "You are only as good as your competition"...needless to say, I LOVE this mare!
Rox has become a truly "Once in a Lifetime" horse for us, There will never be one that can replace her. We compete at ever barrel race we can get to and her smooth, effortless style is a joy to ride. The more I evolve as a Jockey and am able to stay out of her way more and more the better she gets...we do believe the best is yet to come for this special mare.
