Rox Qualified for the 2009 NC State Finals in the 1D! She ran in the top 12 out of 380 horses!
We ran at the World Barrel race in Glen Rose, Texas in May and Rox was just great. We were in the 2D, even though we took the first really wide (my fault completely....it's never Rox of course!) To run in the 2D with a wide first was just amazing. There were over 1300 horses competing, including multiple NFR qualifiers and many of Texas' top barrel racers! We can not wait to go back for the finals!
Above photo is at the NBHA Dixie Nationals May 2009. Rox qualified in the 1D to make it back for the finals! She was 21st overall out of 427 head of AWESOME competition!
Rox ran a 16.4 to win the race at DC Western in Goldsboro, NC.
Rox won the 1D of the first race at the Runners Paradise show at the 5 Bar P Arena which qualifies her for the Runners Paradise Invitational Race at the 2009 finals!
Rox won the 1D in the Friday night race in Loris April 2009 just before the Sat. March Of Dimes race..... we ran that one too.... but Mary (me) got a wee bit nervous and it put us in the 4D... still won $ though!

Since this Rox has ran at the Cabarrus Fair Barrel Race(ran well, but I pulled her on top of the third), NBHA NC 04 race(Won 1D money), IBRA Super Race (Won 3D money)Runners Paradise Finals(Won 2D money) and today we ran a slot race and 4D IBRA race in SC... today is Nov. 8, 2008
above is our "happy face"... Rox was 6th place in the 1D division of the Open 4D...amung Awesome competition (over 100 awesome horses)... As Kathy Grady always told me, "You are only as good as your competition"...needless to say, I LOVE this mare!
